Air-dried timber
At Hedley Contracting Ltd we stock a wide range of air-dried timber as listed below:

Sleepers
Macrocarpa sleepers are ideal for a wide range of outdoor uses such as raised planter gardens, retaining walls, edging, steps etc. Macrocarpas natural durability without the need for chemical treatment means that it is both eco-friendly and great to use for raised planter gardens. Its natural durability also makes it ideal for a wide range of outdoor uses. It can be left to naturally silver in colour or will accept a range of oils etc for staining.
Sleeper grade timber generally contains some larger knots and small defects which give them a more rustic appeal.

Posts, Beams & Rails
We can mill posts and beams any size up to 600 mm x 600 mm (size generally being limited by log availability) and up to 7.5m long. We can also custom cut any size rails to suit your needs.
Slabs
We have available a large selection of dry macrocarpa slabs suitable for uses such as outdoor furniture, bench tops, table tops, shelves, signs etc. They come in a range of sizes from 300 – 1200 mm wide, by 75 mm thick and up to 4.2 m long and have been air dried for up to 1-2 years.
We can also cut to order any size slab to suit your needs depending on log availability.
Planter boxes
We stock a range of 8 x 2 timber at all times suitable for building planter boxes.
